The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2026
Operational architecture under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025. Establishes the Online Gaming Authority of India (OGAI) as an attached office of MeitY, sets out the determination test for whether an online game is an online money game (Rule 9 factors), prescribes the registration regime for e-sports and any notified categories of online social games, mandates user-safety features, two-tier grievance redressal, and digital-first inquiry and penalty proceedings under Section 12 of the Act.
